As a second career, Peter’s law practice started in 2005 as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert Jones, Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Lubbock. Peter’s litigation practice has covered bank fraud, lending transactions, real estate transactions, probate, and bankruptcy and general commercial litigation. Prior to law school, Peter was a computer programmer with numerous professional certifications and was the director of the Austin, Texas office for a small consulting firm.
Subject Matter Experience
- Represent energy industry client in federal court on trade secret and shareholder litigation.
- Evaluation and negotiation of disputed contracts and terms; negotiation and drafting of settlement terms and contracts.
- Assist clients to evaluate the merits and risks of their existing and/or potential cases before and during the litigation process in order to proceed in the most efficient and effective direction.
- Successfully litigated a variety of commercial disputes including $1 million credit card fraud, federal and state securities violations, employment disputes, and various contract disputes.
- Drafts pleadings and briefings before several intermediate courts of appeal and the Texas Supreme Court.
